Pretty Bows & Gold Toes

I used to be obsessed with wearing bows in my hair as a young girl and when I saw this precious sweater by Lauren Conrad at Kohl's I had to have it! You can't tell from these pictures but the sweater has gold thread sewn into the fabric giving it a subtle sparkly look. The gold and black colorblock flats I got at Old Navy the other day, on sale might I add, made this sweater pop. The outfit ended up being super comfortable and cute enough to wear to work last week. I will definitely be wearing this outfit again.

New Again

I've had this skirt in my closet for several years now and I've only worn it a hand full of times. It's a shame really because this skirt is precious and super comfortable. However, when I pulled out this old navy sweater I thought about pairing it with this skirt for the first time. How sad is it that I just now thought of that! I love when you can put two older pieces together and they feel new again. The chambray top made this outfit a little more preppy which I liked but it's a little too uniform-ish for me.What do you think?

A Redhead's Favorite Colors

These two colors have always been my favorite to wear ever since I was a kid. Being a natural redhead, everyone has always told me that green and blue are the best colors for me because they compliment my skin tone and my hair color really well. Well that's the truth. These colors do wonders for redheads like me. I love I like that the light chambray top breaks up the bright blue and green so it isn't too overbearing. What do you think?

Everyone's doing it..

I'm sure you've seen everyone's version of this outfit on other blogs or Pinterest. The black leggings, in my case jeggings, the white tee under a chambray top with a scarf and cognac boots. Well here is my version with some leopard. I love these black jeggings from the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl's. I snagged these bad boys up last week when I was "window shopping". Who window shops and doesn't end up taking something home?! Not this girl! This outfit is so easy to throw together when you're running errands or have a lunch date with a girlfriend. It's not over the top and it doesn't look like you've tried too hard but it's still stylish and cute.

Transitioning into Fall

I titled this "transitioning into Fall" because weather in Texas in the middle of November can sometimes still feel like summer but luckily it didn't last Sunday. I wore this outfit to church. The weather was just cool enough to throw on a cardigan and scarf over this dress without being too hot after an hour. I love how the patterns in the scarf tie all the colors together in this outfit. I love these boot socks I got last year at Kohl's. They are made with a cable knit type of material which makes these boot socks nice and thick for fall and winter weather. I will definitely be wearing these and my black pair a lot this season so get ready for that! :)
In the car outfit shot! :) You're welcome.

The Vest vs. the Jacket

If you don't have a military style jacket or vest in your closet then go out and get one! They have become a staple and must have item for Fall. Being a redhead, I tend to gravitate towards more greens and blues so this jacket and vest are right up my alley. I love how easily they go with anything and everything. I wore the top outfit to work last week when the weather got cooler. The jacket is really comfortable and although I had layered a blue gingham button up and a yellow cardigan under the jacket I didn't feel claustrophobic. I was able to breathe and move around. Sometimes I feel confined when I layer clothing. Maybe that's just me? I decided to throw on my vest  and see which outfit I liked better. I honestly think I like them both equally. What about you? Which one do you like more?
P.s. - Sorry about the hot mess that I call my hair. It was up in a ponytail as usual but I looked like a boy with it up so I threw it down and this is the result. I don't know which one is worse. ;)

Plaid, Red, & Cognac

I love this button up because not only is plaid a very popular trend this fall, the black & white pattern goes with everything.. Including this red cardigan. Being a redhead I always believed that bright colors like red weren't a great color on me because my hair is bright but that isn't the case at all. This combo worked really well together. The black, white, & cognac combo with a touch of red is perfection.

Chambray & Purple Skinnies

I bought these skinnies last year at Old Navy when colored jeans were super popular. I love the rich, dark purple color of these skinnies. I recently purchased this chambray top from Kohl's after looking forever for one that I liked and was in the right shade I wanted. This dark chambray top goes with just about everything and these purple skinnies where no exception. The weather is getting cooler here in Texas so throwing on a pair of boots and a scarf made this outfit winter appropriate. I love this look and I will definitely be pairing more of my colored skinnies with this awesome chambray top.

The Leather Skirt

I saw this adorable Miranda Kerr outfit on Pinterest and thought that this would be easy to recreate with pieces I have in my closet already. I wore this outfit on Sunday to church and to run errands. I like Miranda Kerr's leather skirt better because its more casual and flowy than my straight pencil-like skirt. Her outfit is effortless and easy not to mention that bag is to die for! I love recreating outfits like these because they are easy to throw together.

The Perfect White Tee

I recently purchased this perfect white shirt for $12! Yes I said it.. $12!!! This h&m shirt is truly perfection! I can't wait to pair it with tights and boots. I will probably be pairing this shirt with just about everything in my closet. You have been warned. It's super comfortable and I think everyone should own one. I can't believe it's taken me this long to find it. This outfit is simple but super cute. I love effortless outfits and this is one of those. What do you think?

Vest Love

If you've been on Pinterest lately you will see that vests are one of the must have staples for this Fall. I've been drooling over this J. Crew vest for months but unfortunately that price is too far out of my budget. This Old Navy vest I'm wearing was actually super affordable and so cute! I had to have it! I found this inspiration off Pinterest and I decided to recreate it from items I had in my closet.

Tan & Cognac

I love these colors especially together! Cognac is my favorite color for Fall. It goes with anything! I own about 5 pair of boots in this color that's how obsessed I am with it. I'm so awful aren't I!? When I saw these boots last month I fell in love! Everything about them screamed BRITTANY. The color, the height, and the buckles were all just too cute to pass up. This turned out to be one of my favorite outfits ever. The neutral combination seems effortless and easy. All and all, I think these outfit turned out pretty well. What do you think?

The Army Green Vest

I got so lucky when it came to purchasing this vest last month. I had been lusting over it for a while and when I finally went to go purchase it online they were sold old! Just my luck right! I looked again a few days later and they said they had "limited quantities" available so I called the store and by luck they had one that someone returned and it was in my size! Birthday miracle I tell ya! This vest has been a staple this year and I am so thrilled that I finally found one that I love! I can't wait to style it throughout winter and into spring!
